Project Overview
Initially, Topgun Academy's ideas were created to support the Universities sector of the company. With an objective to develop an online learning platform for students and recruiters. To establish the community and also help the University professors in developing a learning syllabus with topics related to recruitment and HR and also get the university's graduate who is interested in this field to be familiars with the software and tools early on from the beginning of their career.
Granted the users with a certificate and a demo version of the software after completion of the course.
Goals
Business Goal / Requirement
• To develop a platform that can educate future Users(students) early on through the connection that the company has with the universities.
• To establish a community for those who are interested in the Human resource industry.
• To solve the problems of the users (recruiters) who have difficulties in using the software and tools online from the video we have.
• To utilize the company assets efficiently. We conducted more than 100+ online sessions on topics related to recruitment, employer branding, management tools, and how to write resumes.
• To integrate the event of our partner ie., PMAT in order to keep users updated about what is going on in the HR community.


User Goals
Professors:
• A platform that can help them understand more about the real sector of the HR professions in order to develop the learning syllabus.
• A space for them to share their knowledge.

Student:
• Want to know and learn in advance about what they are going to face in the future of their career
• Want to learn how to write resumes
• A certificate for learning

Recruiters:
• Wanted the community platform for the HR professionals to share their knowledge, thoughts, problems, and issues related to their work.
• To keep updated with the trends and tools
• A certificate for learning
Challenges
• One of the biggest challenges during the initial stage of this project was to get the relavant features of this platform ready to publish within 2 weeks' time
• How to do both UX and UI parts on the go at the same time
• How to manage priorities of the features and utilize the assets that we have wisely
• How to compromise and understand 3 users' parties and the company's goals
Why the platform was needed?
A few years back, the company has an idea to develop a learning institute and started by developing the learning syllabus by collaborating with the universities, professors, and lecturers.
By developing this platform, we aim to connect all parties together and establish a concrete foundation in this sector more than just conducting seminars and webinars. We also aim to make the knowledge accessible to all.
User Interview
For this project, we had our marketing team who helped us with the user interview with the Professors, students, and recruiters, and from that conversation, we had our user goals derived from here.
